Ahmad-Colin earn winning point in Junior Davis Cup tie

THE national junior Davis Cup salvaged some pride by edging New Zealand 2-1 in an Asia/Oceania relegation play-off tie in New Delhi, India yesterday.
Colin Wong earned Malaysia the first point by overcoming Alexander Klintcharov 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 in a tough 90-minute battle.
However, Finbar Argus levelled proceedings by hammering Ahmad Deedat Abd Razak 6-1, 6-2.
In the doubles, Ahmad-Deedat beatAlexander-Cameron Norrie 6-1, 6-3 to clinch their maiden victory in the tournament.
Malaysia face Syria today.
